Welcome to One Lucky Pup Pet Resort & Spa, serving Charlotte, NC, and surrounding areas with two convenient locations in Northlake and Charlotte. We are a locally-owned business, priding ourselves on safety and fun for our canine guests. We'll provide your dog with a staycation full of love, care, and play, and we will always treat your pup as part of our family.
No dog is too big or too small to be One Lucky Pup! To participate in our dog daycare & boarding or dog grooming programs, we do have certain requirements that need to be met in order for your dog to become one of the family, including being up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccinations, and being spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age. We run an open play environment, so your dog must also be comfortable being handled by our staff and in a playgroup with other dogs.
At One Lucky Pup, it is our mission to provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment with lots of interaction with other dogs and people. Every dog is thoroughly evaluated and must pass our screening process before being accepted into our facility. In order to ensure the safety and health of your pet, we require that you adhere to the following rules and regulations.
Application: All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file prior to scheduling any reservations or services at One Lucky Pup. Please give us a call at 704-494-8476 (Northlake) or 704-525-4440 (Charlotte) so that we can get you and your pup set up in our system and scheduled for an evaluation appointment prior to their first stay with us.
Age: All dogs must be at least 4 months of age or older to attend daycare or boarding with us. Any dogs 6 months or older must be spayed or neutered.
Vaccines: All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations for bordetella, rabies and distemper/parvo. We will need paperwork from your vet confirming that these are up to date before your pup can attend.
Health: All dogs must be in good health. Please let us know if your dog has any preexisting conditions that we need to keep an eye on while they are staying with us. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the past 30 days should not attend until cleared by their veterinarian. All dogs must be kept on monthly flea/tick and heartworm /parasite prevention. If your dog is not feeling well or you notice any coughing, vomiting, or diarrhea, please do not bring your pet to One Lucky Pup until they are feeling better and are cleared by their vet to attend.
Meals: One Lucky Pup prefers that you provide meals for your dog while they are staying overnight. Dogs are sensitive to changes in their diets, so it will help to prevent any allergic reactions or GI disturbances while staying with us if they are kept on their regular food that you bring. We only want the safest and most comfortable stay for your dog. One Lucky Pup does keep food on hand should your dog run out during their stay.
Behavior: Owners will need to certify that their dog has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or other dogs before they are admitted to attend daycare or boarding. Your dog will be spending time with other pets in a group setting, and our primary concern is the safety and health of our staff and the dogs in our care.
Please Note: Dogs will be evaluated and introduced slowly into the playgroups and supervised very carefully. We reserve the right to decline aggressive animals or those that are not a good fit for our open play environment.
